In this course, we will cover the essentials of handling and/or processing personal data of your organisation’s stakeholders. If you collect and process special category data such as health, sexual orientation and religious beliefs, or children’s data, the course will also guide you through the extra responsibilities you have.
By the end of the training, you’ll:
- understand the principles of data processing and data subject rights under UK GDPR
- know how to use practical tools to ensure your organisation complies with data protection legislation
- understand the role and responsibility of your data controller, information asset owners and SIRO (where applicable)
- understand subject access rights and requests and how to deal with them
- understand how data protection may impact your organisation.

This course is for staff, trustees or volunteers of small charities, CICs, or community groups who are getting started on data protection compliance and/or refreshing their knowledge on the subject.
