Medical Points

We are currently working with three medical points in two different locations in Gaza Strip:

  • Medical Tent Doctors – Deir-Al-Balah
  • Al-Mashaala Medical Tent – Deir-Al-Balah south west.
  • Asdaa Medical Tent in Khan-Younis.

The medical points are seeing an approximate of 500-1000 patients per day. We strive to work closely with local and international partners to ensure that they are able to continue their operations. Please get in touch with our team if you want to collaborate or support the medical points.

Comprised of a group of volunteer doctors and nurses dedicated to providing essential medical care at a medical point in Shurab camp, Dair al Balah, Gaza. Our mission is to offer free consultations and medication to more than 1,600 families living in the 1200 tents registered in the camp, ensuring that every individual receives the medical attention they need.

Tent Location:

  1. English – located on the road leading to Palestine College from Al-Aqsa Hospital, right after the water filtering stations.
  2. ⁠Arabic – الخيمة الطبية متواجدة علي الطريق المؤدي إلي كلية فلسطين، من اتجاه مستشفى الأقصى بعد محطة التحلية.

Project Goals:

  • Provide Comprehensive Medical Care: Ensure access to quality healthcare services.
  • Offer Free Consultations and Medication: Supply essential medical services and medications at no cost to the patients.
  • Promote Health and Well-being: Enhance the overall health and well-being of the vulnerable population in the area.

The tent is based within Shurab refugee camp , where the project will be serving a population of 1,600 registered families (with households of at least 5 members) who were displaced to the camp and have no access to proper medical care, clean water, and are susceptible to infectious diseases. 

Project Team:

  • Nader Abdel Fattah Mezied, a medical student at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) from Dair al-Balah, has volunteered for over eight months in the emergency department at Al-Aqsa Hospital during the Gaza crisis.
  • Hasan Ahmed Abodan, a medical student at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) from Nussirat, has volunteered for nine months at the Ebin Rushed medical point and seven months in the emergency department at Al-Aqsa Hospital at the same time during the Gaza crisis.
  • Yehia Maher Mezied , a medical student at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) from Dair al-Balah, has volunteered for over seven months in the emergency department and two months in the surgery department at Al-Aqsa Hospital during the Gaza crisis.
  • Dr. Ghazi Maher Mezied, a medical doctor from Dair al-Balah, has volunteered for over eight months in the general surgery department at Al-Aqsa Hospital during the Gaza crisis and is currently working at Al Emarati Hospital.
  • Abdullah Al Tabaan, a nurse from Nussirat, has volunteered for seven months at the Ebin Rushed medical point during the Gaza crisis.
  • Aseel Tyseer Al Qutati, a nurse from Rafah, has volunteered for over four months in the obstetrics and gynecology department at Al Awda Hospital during the Gaza crisis.

The medical tent is operated by a group of volunteers dedicated to providing essential medical care at medical point, Almashala street, Deir-Al-Balah, Gaza. Our mission is to offer free consultations and medication to more than 2500 families living in the 2000 tents registered in the camp, ensuring that every individual receives the medical attention they need.
The project lead is Dr. Ismail Ramadan who is a vascular surgeon, resident doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital, recently displaced and working in Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Dr. Ismail have been tirelessly providing medical services to hundreds of injured Palestinians. With the help of a dedicated team, they have thankfully saved many lives and prevented countless amputations. Despite our efforts, the situation remains dire.

They urgently need your support to equip this makeshift facility with essential supplies such as:

  • Surgical instruments
  • Sterile gloves and gowns
  • Antiseptics and disinfectants
  • Pain relief medications
  • Antibiotics
  • Bandages and wound care material

Tent Location:

  1. English – The medical tent is located west of Al-Mashaal Street on the sea, at the Seventeen roundabout
  2. ⁠Arabic – 17 الخيمة الطبية متواجدة غرب شارع المشاعلة على البحر ، عند دوار

Project Goals:

  • Provide Comprehensive Medical Care: Ensure access to quality healthcare services for children, the elderly and Providing health care for pregnant women and Ultrasound image of the fetuses.
  • Offer Free Consultations and Medication: Supply essential medical services and medications at no cost to the patients.
  • Promote Health and Well-being: Enhance the overall health and well-being of the vulnerable population in the area.

The tent is based within close proximity to 11 tent refugee camps, comprised of more than 2000 tents; near the sea-side in Deir-Al-Balah, where the project will be serving a population of 2500+ registered families (with households of at least 4 members) who were displaced to the camps and have no access to proper medical care, clean water, and are susceptible to infectious diseases. 

Project Team:

  • Dr. Ismail Ramadan is a vascular surgeon, resident doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital, recently displaced and working in Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Dr. Ismail have been tirelessly providing medical services to hundreds of injured Palestinians and has been working in the medical tent for about 6 months with/without funding.
  • Ahmed Jamil Mohammed Shabat, Faculty of medicine graduate, volunteering in Al-Najjar hospital in the Emergency and accident department for 8 months, and has volunteered in multiple medical tents In Rafah and Deir-Al-Balah, and is also volunteering at the Emergency department in Al-Aqsa hospital since 6/2024.
  • Salem Dawoud. Paediatrician resident at Al-Nasser Paediatric Hospital. Has worked as an emergency physician at Beit-Hanoun Hospital for a year and then joined the Palestinian Board of Paediatrics program in the year 2022.
  • My name is Hadeel Ashour. Holder of a Masters’ degree in Educational Management. I worked as a team assistant at Dorsch group company, and now volunteering as a secretary at Almashaala Medical Tent. .
  • Maha Khader Dalloul, General Nursing graduate in 2023, and has been working in Emergency Departments as per deployments since the war started. Also volunteering in the Almashaala medical tent for 4 months now.
  • Bshaer Abdullah baker, a Public Relations university graduate, with prioer experience in working as an assistant in a medical clinic. Also volunteering with the Almashala medical team for six months now.
  • Noha Ibrabim Alhabil, a graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy. With prior experience in working for medical clinics and in a pharmacy before the war started. Also volunteering with the Almashala medical team for six months now.

Asdaa Medical point in Khan Younis, near Asdaa Compound. Is a makeshift tent that provides basic medical and oral care to patients, mothers, and children in Khan Younis.

Tent Location:

  1. English – North Asdaa, at the beginning of Asdaa Compound, near the Hamad Crossing with Asdaa Compound (locally it’s called Asdaa City)
  2. ⁠Arabic – شمال أصداء عند بداية مدينة أصداء
    بالقرب من دوار حمد مع مدينة أصداء

Project Goals:

  • Providing free medical consultations, medicines, diapers, milk and sanitary pads for women in the displacement camp.
  • Ensure that everyone gets the medical care they need, and guide women on how to deal with infectious skin diseases under the difficult conditions they live in the displacement camp.

The medical tent is within close proximity of a large congregation of tent camps, with a population of ​​800 thousand people from Asdaa area and Hamad City and are providing daily care for 150 to 250 people per day. The group set up the tent despite the difficulty and cost of the medical point in the current situation and the difficulty of assembling special equipment and medicines at the point.

Project Team:

  • Dr. Ahmed Khader from North Gaza, volunteered for more than eight months in the emergency department in the northern and southern hospitals during the Gaza crisis, and worked as a volunteer in previous medical points.
  • Nurse Hussam Abu Rabie, volunteered for nine months between the Indonesian Hospital and the emergency department at Al-Aqsa Hospital at the same time during the Gaza crisis.
  • Mahmoud Al-Namnam, volunteer logistics and purchases officer.
  • Dr. Othman Nassar, worked in Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
  • Pharmacist Fayez Sahweil, has been working as a volunteer in the north at Beit Hanoun Hospital since the beginning of the war, and is currently volunteering at the medical point
  • Hussam Abu Rabie, has been working as a volunteer at the Indonesian Hospital since the beginning of the war and is also volunteering at Asdaa Medical Point.
